Well, we've got a bourbon cocktail that uses maple syrup on the menu at Krakatoa. Or there are some beers that are sweetened with maple syrup, especially the darker ones. Why do you ask?

Hmm. Maybe the cocktail then ... I find myself missing maple mead rather fiercely sometimes.

Maple mead? - No, I'm not going to ask; I'm sure that's exactly what it sounds like.

[ She taps her lower lip thoughtfully. ]

I'm sure something like that has to exist. Somewhere. It'll be pricey, I imagine, since maple syrup is absurdly expensive, but I bet I can track it down.

I think I'd be willing to pay for it. With all of my terrible capitalist currency.

Or you could defect to the Soviets, who will equally distribute all goods. And you won't have to pay for it at all.
