[ She motions for him to get up and follow her. She's already searching for nearby places that are open all hours of the night. ]

Somewhere with food. There's places open this late.

[ He nods a bit then. ]

By all means, then. Lead the way.

It's a breakfast place, a couple blocks over. We can walk or ride.

[ She eyes him, letting him make that decision. ]

[dendarii]

... Let's ride, then. I'd like that.

Spare helmet's in the same place it always is, unless you want to use yours. I could send you video feed while I drive.

[dendarii]

[ He brightens a bit at that. ]

What an excellent idea ... give me a moment and I'll retrieve it.

[failureisntachoice]

[ She's moving to grab her own helmet, discarded on an end table somewhere when she came in and gets ready to set up the feed. When she has visual that his helmet is in hand, she sends the data connection request over and leads the way out. ]

Sure you don't need a nap first?

[dendarii]

[ He slides it on then, following her. ]

If you ask me again, I'm going to try decking you. Which will go poorly for me, mostly.

[ She snorts lightly before flatly replying, ]

I'll start caring less then.

[dendarii]

Caring is fine. Asking me to the point where it sounds like you think I can't take care of myself ...

[ He settles himself on the back of her motorcycle. ]

Do you promise to tell me when you're reaching your limits then?

[ She slides onto the front and casts a glance back over at him, ready to kick off and go as soon as she gets an answer. ]

[dendarii]

... Er. Well. We'll see.

[ That's a no. ]

[failureisntachoice]

[ She knows enough Milese to get that and lets out a light snort. ]

Then enjoy the occasional nagging.

[ It's the last thing she says before she's taking off towards their destination, at a slower pace than usual. The Soviets are still about and she's not going to give a bored one an excuse to pull them over because they're stepping out for a late night breakfast. Still, the restaurant is close and it only takes them a handful of minutes to arrive. ]

Fair enough.

[ He tries not to hold on too tightly, but he can't help but enjoy being on the back of a motorbike with her again ... It's still terribly exhilarating, after all. ]

[failureisntachoice]

[ Whatever hold he's got on her, she's not going to comment as long as he doesn't fall off the back. As promised, she sends him a live feed of a visual from the front and it isn't until they're pulling into the restaurant that she ends it. ]

[ He really, genuinely did. In fact he's kind of breathless towards the end. ]

... That was impressive, yes. Very nearly like I was riding in front myself.

[ She smirks as she leads the way inside. ]

That good, huh? You're going to have to send me the specs for that armor you had made.

[ He follows then, hauling himself up into the booth to sit. ]

It's quite good. Not as impressive as yours, maybe, but ... Tadashi Hamada does good work.

[ She slides into the seat across from him and sighs. Not for the first time, she wishes that kid was on their payroll. ]

I have a feeling I'll end up going to him if I ever need any repairs I can't do myself. It's too bad you can't pry him from his current job.

I know ... there's no competing with Stark, though. Alas.

Do you know how much they pay their techs?

[dendarii]

No idea, but it must be substantial.

[failureisntachoice]

You might want to pry it out of one of his employees if you're going to offer comparable salaries to future techies that show up here. Or you'll risk them getting snatched out from under you.

... An excellent point. I hadn't thought of it that way.

You're lucky I haven't inquired about what they pay their security. [ It's a mild comment strategically placed right before their waiter approaches them to take their orders. Just to give him an etra minute to contemplate that while she orders coffee and food. ]
